How to edit existing text in a PDF

  1. Open your PDF in the editor and choose Edit.
  2. Click the text you want to change and type. The font, size and colour of the original are kept wherever the font is available.
  3. Click Export to save the edited PDF.

How to replace a word everywhere in a PDF

  1. Open Find & Replace.
  2. Type the old and new text. Turn on Match case or Whole word to avoid changing parts of other words.
  3. Replace matches one by one, or all at once.

How to sign a PDF online

  1. Choose Sign, then draw your signature, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload a photo of your signature.
  2. Place it on the line and resize it, then export.
  3. Need other people to sign? Use Raha Sign to send the PDF for signature.

How to fill in a PDF form

  1. If the form has fillable fields, click into them and type.
  2. If it's a flat or scanned form, use Text to type on the lines, and tick marks for the boxes.
  3. To make your own fillable form, add text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons or drop-down lists from Forms.

How to remove sensitive information properly

  1. A white or black box on its own only hides text; it can still be copied from underneath.
  2. Use Redact to remove what's under the area, then download. For a dedicated tool, see Redact PDF.

Why can't I edit the text in my PDF?

  1. It's a scan. Scanned pages are pictures with no text to edit. Click Make editable when the editor offers it, use PDF OCR, or cover and retype with Whiteout.
  2. It's locked. PDFs that block editing need unlocking first with Unlock PDF.
  3. The text came out wrong after a conversion. Fix PDF Text covers invisible, white or garbled text.

How to edit a PDF on your phone

  1. Open this page in Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android. There's nothing to install.
  2. Tap Select PDF file and pick the PDF from your files or downloads.
