Number Your PDF Pages — Free & Private
Add clean, professional page numbers to reports, contracts, legal filings, ebooks and theses. Choose the exact position and format, with a live preview before you commit.
Numbering Without the Upload
Most online PDF tools send your private documents to a remote server. Raha Tools stamps page numbers directly inside your browser using local memory — nothing is uploaded, so even sensitive contracts and filings stay completely private.
Why Add Page Numbers?
Page numbers make long documents easy to reference, navigate, and cite. They are essential for legal filings, academic submissions, printed reports, and any multi-page handout.
Total control: start from any number to continue across documents or skip a cover page, choose "Page 1 of 20" style totals, and place the number in any of six positions — all without changing the rest of your file.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I skip the cover page?
Yes. Use the optional page range (for example, "2-20") to number only the pages you choose, and set "Start at" so the first numbered page shows the value you want.
What formats are available?
Plain numbers (1, 2, 3), "Page 1", "1 of N", "Page 1 of N", and "- 1 -". The total (N) is calculated automatically from your document.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
Never. The PDF is processed entirely on your device, which makes this safe for confidential or legal documents.
Will it ruin my layout?
No. We only draw the page-number text on top of each page; everything else in your document stays untouched.
What else can I do?
Combine this with our Merge PDF, Rotate PDF, and Watermark PDF tools to fully prepare a document.
