RahaNote Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
RahaNote is a notes, tasks and calendar app for Android. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. If you have a question, write to raha360store@gmail.com.
The short version
- There is no account and no sign-in.
- Everything you write stays on your phone. We have no server that receives your notes, tasks or files.
- We do not show ads, sell data or use analytics or tracking tools.
- Two parts of Android made by Google, the document scanner and text recognition, send Google basic diagnostic data so it can keep them working. They never send your notes or your scans. Details are below.
What RahaNote stores, and where
Your notes, notebooks, tasks, events, reminders, habits, focus sessions, tags, photos, voice recordings, sketches and attached files are stored only in RahaNote's private storage on your phone. Other apps cannot read it, and we cannot see it.
Locked notes are encrypted on your phone with a key kept in Android's secure key storage. Items in the Private Vault are encrypted with a key that only your phone's screen lock, your vault PIN or your recovery code can open. Your app PIN and vault PIN are never stored, only a one-way fingerprint of them.
Backups, exports and sharing
RahaNote does not use Android's cloud backup. Your data is not copied to Google Drive or any other online service by the app.
- Phone-to-phone transfer. When you set up a new phone with a cable or a direct Wi-Fi transfer, Android can copy RahaNote's data across. This copy goes directly between your two phones.
- Backups you make. If you choose a backup folder or tap Back up now, RahaNote writes a backup file to the place you choose. If that place is synced by another service, such as Google Drive, that service's own privacy policy applies to the copy. Backup files include locked notes in readable form so they can be restored, so keep them private.
- Exports and sharing. When you share or save a note or a task list as a PDF, text, Markdown, spreadsheet or calendar file, the file goes only where you send or save it. While it is being prepared, the file sits in RahaNote's private storage and is deleted automatically within a day.
Home-screen widgets
RahaNote widgets show your upcoming tasks and events on your home screen, where other people who see your phone can read them. If you turn on App lock, widgets show only how many tasks you have, not what they are. Locked notes and the Private Vault never appear in a widget.
Permissions
RahaNote asks for these permissions only when you use the related feature:
- Notifications: to show reminders.
- Alarms and reminders: to show reminders at the exact time you set.
- Microphone: to record voice notes. Audio is saved only on your phone.
- Camera: opened through Android's own camera to take a photo for a note.
- Biometrics: to unlock the app or the vault with your fingerprint or face, if you turn this on. Fingerprint and face data never leave Android's secure hardware and are never seen by RahaNote.
- Run at startup: so reminders still ring after your phone restarts.
Scanning and text recognition by Google
Document scanning uses Google's scanner from Google Play services, and text recognition uses Google's ML Kit. Both read your pages on your phone. Your scans, photos and the text in them are not sent to us or to Google.
To keep these tools working, Google's ML Kit collects device information (such as the phone model and Android version), app information (such as the app version) and performance and diagnostic data. Google says this data is encrypted in transit and is not shared with third parties. See Google's ML Kit data disclosure at https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/android-data-disclosure and Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and handled by Google Play. RahaNote receives only a confirmation from Google Play that a subscription is active, which is checked on your phone. We never see your name, email address or payment details. You can change or cancel your subscription at any time in the Google Play Store, under Payments and subscriptions.
How long data is kept, and deleting it
Your data stays on your phone until you delete it. Notes you delete go to Trash and are removed for good after 30 days, or straight away if you empty the Trash. Uninstalling RahaNote, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes everything RahaNote stored on the phone. Backup or export files you saved elsewhere are not affected; you can delete them yourself.
Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on a server. Requests about data Google collects through ML Kit or Google Play are handled under Google's privacy policy.
Children
RahaNote is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its use. Because RahaNote keeps your data only on your phone, you can see, change, export and delete all of it in the app at any time. For anything else, contact us at the address below.
Security
RahaNote uses Android's app sandbox, Android Keystore encryption for locked notes and the Private Vault, and optional app and vault locks. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so please keep your phone's screen lock on and your backup files private.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and publish the new version at the same address. Significant changes will also be shown in the app.
